My name is Ahmed. I met some of you at the aquarium last Sunday (and by "met", I mean bugged everyone within earshot with a bunch of questions about costume-making), and I'd like to join.
No costume yet, but I'm in the research phase of making a Revan. Since I have a bad habit of over-engineering projects, this is going to be a scratch build with cast metal and custom leather wherever possible. Ideally, I want it to not only accurately represent the source material; but also be accurate to the construction of the Bronze Age and Classical armor that inspired it. To that end, I will be probably be spending a good bit of time over at Flagship Eclipse arguing for changes to the CRL. Yeah, this is going to be fun.

Very glad to have you on the forum! We are never bugged about costume questions, we love the enthusiasm of potential new members because we were all there at one point!
We look forward to you build progress please keep us well informed. Jeff Vader, made a great Revan a few years ago, he can definitely provide you with some info regarding the costume.

Thanks, Reela and Vader1. I have a picture from the aquarium of my kid with Jeff in his excellent Vader costume and I've heard good things about his Revan. Saw a photo of his Predator as well. I'm very much looking forward to learning everything there is to learn 
Regarding CRL disagreements with Flagship Eclipse, turns out there may not be too many problems. Got this reply from Brendon Franz, whom I've also heard good things about: "As one of the leading guys on Revan I'll be happy to discuss that stuff in the threads with you. You're not the first to mention leather, and we can talk about that there, I'll give you a hint: we won't disagree." Yay.
