BEWARE OF KJ MAGNETICS!!!

Post by jeff vader »

I have used this company MANY times in the past but seems they have taken a poopie.

Placed an order for 46.00 worth of magnets (including shipping) ..... they never showed.

Called to ask about order and was told I refused them and sent them back. NOT! Evidently policy is that a a whopping fee is to be charged for this.

So ...... I just lost 25.00 of the 46.00 and received nothing. I know some of the members use this web site so just wanted to let you all know .... proceed with them with caution or not at all.

I have "ring" on the front of my house and UPS never showed to make a delivery nor did I refuse it.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!

that sounds really strange!!!

Ive NEVER had UPS drop them, they have always been put in the mailbox by USPS, and like you I have used them for years because I havent found equivalent ring magnets for our hoses.

I know Dave, they were always spot on but this time used UPS. It was the way they handled the whole thing that set me off.

1. Couldn't tell me if I had even placed an order at first.
2. Finally found the order but said I needed to email customer support.
3. After waiting to hear back for nearly a week I was told I refused the "UPS" order.
4. Said they could "reship" for an additional $25.00.
5. No answer when I asked why is shipping $25.00 for way less than a pound.

Try APEX magnets. Free shipping as well if you are not in a hurry for them.
With APEX I got:

1. 4 more magnets than I had ordered from KJ
2. Larger with more holding power.

FOR LESS even after adding priority mail fees.

How did you pay? Might want to just dispute the charge.

I just saw this while searching for something else.,

Not to resurrect an old post. But give CMS magnetics a try. I had great customer service with them when finishing off my R2-D2.

i donno why Jeff had issues. Ive made dozens of orders with K&J. Even just a few months ago. Quick turn around, all of that.
Ill try CMS too. Thanks for the heads up on that Ben.

I've used APEX magnets as well. Not ultra-speedy, but not slow either. Good prices and selection and no problems at all.

I always like to have a variety of shapes and sizes around. I use them all the time.
