Welcome to the BAG Jeremy
you have found yourself in a very suportive family. I know first hand...I have wrangled several events and last year I gotten my Tie Pilot approved with the help of Dewka. Everyone here will help as much as they can, very supportive, just ask.
Lady K is very into the ladies side of the 501st and will help your wife right in with the rest of the group.
May The Force Be With You...

Thanks for the warm welcome! I met a few from the Laffy crew on free comic book day and made me decide to go for it. We're planning on doing some wrangling soon!!

Jeremy

tomorrow is costume fan day in Baton Rouge at the Jones Creek Library. its the event that introduced me to the concept of Star Wars costumes.

All I can say is, the 1 hour I was at that even has quite literally turned my life in a completely different direction.

We would love to have you come to the event, meet more of us, see how the program runs, and if you have kids, definitely bring them since this is an event for kids in costume.

here is the event link:

Dewka,

I didn't even realize there was an event tomorrow. I would have made a plans for it!! The wife and I are planning to wrangle at for the Zoo event and there was an event for Lafayette pretty soon, I'll have to see what are plans are. We were going to see her parents, but due to the storms in East Texas they're staying at a friends house. Everything's kind of in hiatus right now, I'm hoping to unpack and rediscover all my :boba: Boba Fett :boba: wares. I'm looking at selling or trading some of them to move into the something that will get me into the 501st sooner.
We do a lot of volunteer work together and know how rewarding it is. My wife works for the LSU AgCetner and does wetland conservation with kids of all ages and the rotary club. She's excited about her frist troop just like I am!
