There are also some Facebook groups that may make it easier to keep up with events. You may want to check into that Buddy.

Welcome to the boards. We have a few upcoming troops in your area. If you want to come out and wrangler for us that would be a good way for you to meet some of us. We can always use an extra wrangler. Wranglers take photos, talk to the public and help those of us who can't see so well in our costumes.
