The costume big is biting

So I'm following a few wips here and on pathfinder plus watching friends outside the legion building in hopes to join a legion soon. Im watching a mando build that makes me want a mando, a custom sith just for cons and cosplay that has me thinking about an acolyte now that its approved but I still l...

Re: Hello all from future member (I hope)

Welcome and as for an affordable costume, I push biker scout. (may have a little to do with me being one) you can do the whole build for about $1000 or less. Look forward to trooping with you.

Re: "floating" during a troop

No parades are perfect for my ADD! We are constantly moving. Juno/Jupiter was my first ever event and my favorite of all the annual events. I mentioned before I may help Joyce wrangle that parade. I've wrangled it twice and had so much fun. Plus I'm sure its impossible to see in the dark with a buck...

Re:

I have no real issue with kids, they are generally just fascinated by the costumes and want to check them out. Teens are malicious little beasts, and people consuming alcohol are the ones we need to be extra careful of. Lol no the kids are great and understand less than adults. The kids are why we ...

Re: Active Duty Military and NEW to the area!

Nice to have you Richard. Hope you can make it to baton rouge and wrangle an event with us. Wrangling helped me get to know people some of them costume gurus and become more familiar with what the legion does.

Re: "floating" during a troop

Thanks Gary that was lots of help. In a case of a parade its easier on me because I'm constantly moving. Its just standing in one spot that wears on me after a few hours. Mainly zoo troops. So far other than a few butt grabs and a few kids pulling my armor off I've had no real mishaps. As a wrangler...

Re: "floating" during a troop

Aside from my peripheral vision, I have good front and down vision. You can sneak up on me but I see even the shortest kids in front of me. The more time I spend in costume the more i develop "spidey senses" but I'm still trying to tune those in. I can't see over my shoulder well at all. H...

Re: "floating" during a troop

I agree. Theres security in numbers. Also, when at a public event, we never really know how some people may react. Insert "Garden gnome with red baseball bat and guy in body armor waving a shotgun " myself emory here. Having simeone with you is the best bet. Ive gone on walkabout myself. ...
